Marbet Lewis, Founding Partner of Spiritus Law, to Speak at the Craft Beverage Distribution Conference

FLORIDA – December 2, 2019 – Marbet Lewis, a Founding Partner of Spiritus Law, will participate in a panel discussion at the Craft Beverage Distribution Conference & Trade Show.  The Conference is being held December 3-5, 2019 in Louisville, Kentucky at the Omni Louisville. This program, Cannabis: A Strategy for Your Future Business? will be a discussion about the current state of the cannabis market, where it is headed and how it affects craft beverage producers.  Lewis will join other panelists Ted Mitzlaff, CEO of Goodwood Brewing Co., and Jeff Amrein, CEO of  Extract Wellness, LLC.   The program, moderated by Bart Schaneman of Marijuana Business Daily, is being held on December 4, 2019, from 3:30 pm–4:45 pm.

Marbet Lewis has focused her practice on the laws governing the alcohol industry and the manufacture, importation, and sale of alcohol beverage products since 2004. She represents clients in all aspects of alcohol and business licensing in Florida including alcohol licensee mergers and acquisitions, negotiation of asset purchase agreements and required alcohol use provisions, license transfers and licensing due diligence, trade practices, alcohol product advertising and review of marketing agreements, importation agreements, label approvals, and regulatory compliance guidance. Her experience also includes enforcement action defense and administrative litigation, zoning and land use due diligence and approval processes, and state and local government regulatory compliance. She works with domestic and foreign suppliers, wholesalers and a broad range of retailers, including nightclubs, bars, movie theater operators, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, bars, nightclubs, and pharmacy chains.

Craft Beverage Distribution Conference & Trade Show is presented by the Craft Beverage Education Association (CBEA).  CBEA is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping members from the wine, beer, spirits, cider, and mead industries navigate the business of craft and artisanal beverage post-production
