Jonathan Portuondo is an Associate at Spiritus Law. His practice at Spiritus focuses on business and transactional matters including, residential and commercial real estate, public infrastructure and development, financing, public and private partnerships, and hospitality. Jonathan works closely with various Community Redevelopment Agencies throughout the South Florida area, helping finance public projects, improve living conditions in local communities, and stimulate local economies. Additionally, Jonathan represents commercial and residential clients on both the buyer and seller sides of real estate transactions. Prior to joining Spiritus Law, Jonathan interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he served alongside the Homicide Unit Division Chief and worked on three homicide trials, each of which resulted in a verdict for the State. After his time at the State Attorney’s Office, Jonathan served as a litigator at several litigation firms in South Florida. During his time as a litigator Jonathan represented clients in civil disputes, including breach of contract, property damage, negligent security, and wrongful death actions. Jonathan is a Miami native and graduate of Florida International University, Cum Laude, and the University of Miami School of Law.
